Ford Motor Company has built
another one-of-a-kind aviation themed Ford Mustang for the Experimental
Aircraft Association's 'Gathering of Eagles' fundraiser called the
AV-X10 "Dearborn Doll" Ford Mustang. The 2010 AV-X10 Mustang
will be auctioned off during the 2009 EAA Air Venture Oshkosh fly-in
convention which takes place July 27-August 2.
The AV-X10 uses the 2010
Mustang GT with Glassroof option as a base platform before paint
work and performance modifications were added. At the heart of the
AV-X10 Dearborn Doll Mustang is the10-millionth 4.6-liter engine produced
at the Romeo Engine plant. Read below for all the specifications on

Utilizes the new 2010 Mustang GT
Glass Roof model as the base car, with Ford Racing performance
modifications.
Graphic theme is a tribute to WWII-era
aviation paint schemes, with custom-mixed unique Satin Silver
exterior paint, "Dearborn Doll" pin-up art on either
side of fuselage, yellow "nose cone" and rear wing,
and white tail stripe with "AV-X10" call letters.
Rear end design includes Shelby
GT500 lower rear fascia and rear wing, and Air Force star decklid
badge.
19" forged SVT GT500 five spoke
wheels in liquid silver with yellow propeller tips.
The cock-pit style glass roof canopy
is adorned with an abstract translucent star and bars.

Instrumentation includes Ford Racing
Pyrometer, Boost, and Fuel Pressure gauges, unique "Ground
Speed" and "Engine Speed" AV-X10 cluster graphics,
and engine start button located in the middle of the cockpit.
